BLOCKED! 2024 Ballot Issue 1

Ohio’s 2024 Issue 1 was a constitutional amendment that would have replaced the current redistricting process which requires both parties to approve district lines with an unaccountable system that would allow maps without support from one of the two major parties.

Simply put, the amendment would have constitutionally protected gerrymandering.

Together with Center for Christian Virtue, we invested significant time and resources to empower Christians to understand the negative impact Issue 1 would have on our state. While the Yes campaign had nearly seven times the budget thanks to out-of-state and foreign funders, we ultimately defeated Issue 1 by a 54-46 margin.
